Houston, We Have a Project!

I've been holding off for about a week with this news, because I didn't want to get ahead of myself.

I have a client for the Penny Podcast Project!

Yup. That's right. An actual, paying client. When I came up with this concept, I was determined not to spend a penny on promotion. I would barely promote it at all. I would create the blog, register it with a few podcast directories, and see what happens. Well, just like with fishing, sometimes you have to cast the bait, and wait for the bobber to move. Sure, I had dreams of instant recognition. It didn't happen. Still, this was no time for cheesy promotion tactics. Let the web do its work. Last time I checked, patience is still a virtue. Plus, I was going on vacation (see recent post below).

On August 20, the day I returned from vacation, I received an email from Patrick Keough, a Director of Distance Learning at Carteret Community College in North Carolina. He wanted to know if the cost for a podcast was still "affordable." D'ya think? After an email exchange, Patrick had the first podcast. All I needed was the check to get the ball rolling. Here it is.

And it came in this nice envelope.

So here we are. Ready to roll. More in a bit.
